i have this habit of chopping off my own hair.
well, that usually happens when i’m not satisfied with my haircut.
i had zie cut my hair. i was hoping for tasha to cut my hair.
unfortunately, she has quit and went to some other saloon.
so, anyway, i have chopped off some of my hair.
now, my hair is thinner and my head feels lighter. great.
it’s a very uneven layered cut. i did it on purpose.
anyway, i cut it myself without anyone’s else. whatever.
i love my current hair better.

old age

Monday, November 19th, 2007

An
elderly gentleman…
Had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and
the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed
the gentleman to hear 100%
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said,
"Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can
hear again."
The gentleman replied, "Oh, I haven’t told my family yet.
I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I’ve changed my will three
times!"

Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a
tree when one turns to the other and says: "Slim, I’m 83 years old now and
I’m just full of aches and pains. I know you’re about my age. How do you
feel?"
Slim says, "I feel just like a newborn baby."
"Really!? Like a newborn baby!?"
"Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants."

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple’s house, and after eating, the
wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a
new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly."

The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?"
The first man thought and thought and finally said, "What is the name of
that flower you give to someone you love?
You know… The one that’s red and has thorns."
"Do you mean a rose?"
"Yes, that’s the one," replied the man. He then turned towards the
kitchen and yelled, "Rose, what’s the name of that restaurant we went to
last night?"

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged.
However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman
already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who
insisted he! Didn’t need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the
elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
"I don’t know," he said. "She’s still upstairs in the bathroom
changing out of her hospital gown."

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a
checkup, the doctor tells them that they’re physically okay, but they might
want to start writing things down to help them remember

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
"Want anything while I’m in the kitchen?" he asks.
"Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"
"Sure."
"Don’t you think you should write it down so you can remember it?"
she asks.
"No, I can remember it."
"Well, I’d like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it
down, so’s not to forget it?"
He says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with
strawberries."
"I’d also like whipped cream. I’m certain you’ll forget that, write it
down?" she asks.
Irritated, he says, "I don’t need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice
cream
with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!"
Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes,
The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and
eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment.
"Where’s my toast ?"

Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, "Windy, isn’t it?"
Second one says, "No, it’s Thursday!"
Third one says, "So am I. Let’s go get a beer."

A man was telling his neighbor, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost
me four thousand dollars, but it’s state of the art. It’s perfect."
"Really," answered the neighbor . "What kind is it?"
"Twelve thirty."

Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous
young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, "You’re really
doing great, aren’t you?"
Morris replied, "Just doing what you said, Doc: ‘Get a hot mamma and be
cheerful.’"
The doctor said, "I didn’t say that. I said, ‘You’ve got a heart murmur;
be careful."

One more. . .!

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself
slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.. After catching his breath, he ordered a
banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, "Crushed nuts?"
"No," he replied, "Arthritis."

laughter is the best medicine

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

i’ve been driving a lot lately. it’s like, i’m a driver.
but i don’t really mind if i’m driving for my family. or my best friends.
went to klia to fetch my sister who came back from langkawi.
her flight got delayed so she arrived late. and i’m broke.
i spent money on the toll, and the damn bloody parking fees.
not forgetting that i had to pay for a carton of malboro 20s cigarettes.
no, i’m not smoking. it’s sam’s. i’ll send it to him next friday.
anyway, there was supposed to be a family dinner last night but i had plans.
i had an appointment with 2 of my bestfriends, muni and yvonne.
we went to sunway pyramid and i drived the horrible kancil.
my dad did something to the kancil and it’s like, horrible.
anyway, movie? booked tickets for beowulf but our seats were seperate.
stupid online booking thing. that thing is such an asshole.
we didn’t watch the movies but just had dinner, chat, and walk around.
we had dinner at a&w, upon my request. sounds lame, huh.
i haven’t had a&w for years, and i’m on a mission to gain weight.
our next stop will be at mcdonald, then pizza hut. fastfood marathon.
muni and yvonne have been mocking me and making fun of me last night.
am i such a blur case that i can’t seem to get what people are talking about?
because it seems pretty bad especially when i’m around my best friends here.
and it’s not like i’m trying to be funny or saying those things on purpose. gosh.
know what? i don’t think i want to stay at home. it’s too stressful.
being around my parents is too stressful. i can’t stand it sometimes.
i want to move out and live with my best friends. and live my own life my way.
and i can’t even stay in my room all by myself. it’s just too messy. i hate it.
i’ll just shut up for now. i didn’t get enough sleep. i’m sleepy.

8th month annicversary

Friday, November 16th, 2007

our 8th month anniversary was yesterday.
mine and sam’s, i mean.
he actually came back for a while.
just to take the sleeping bag.
he could have just told me about it.
i could just send it to him.
guys, always troubling themselves.
anyway, he asked me out for a drink at night.
wow, didn’t see that one coming.
i was happily watching the dvds at that time.
he gave me a handphone strap of rice art.
it was pink and even the box was pink.
i’m not a fan of pink and i think he knows that too.
he just likes to see me and, pink, together. whatever.
it said ‘haya’ on one side and ‘hawaii <3′ on the other side.
he wanted to write ‘kawaii’ but that person was plain dumb.
he thought it read ‘hawaii’. that fella should go back to school.
anyway, so, yeah, that’s it.
it was a souvenir which i asked for when he went to bukit merah.
glad that his brain is functioning well and he remembers.
so, yeah, that’s it. end of the story, end of the day.
and he texted me this evening, whether i liked the gift.
yeah, i love the gift. i love whatever people gives me.
their gifts. who wouldn’t love to receive gifts, right?
so, here it is. he told me that he got it for our 8th month anniversary.
funny. amusing. surprised. and a bit touched.you know what?
he never got me anything for our past 7 months anniversary.
i think this was the first time he ever gave me something on one of our anniversaries.
so sam, thank you very much. thank you for your appreciation.
thank you for remembering. thank you for everything.
*sigh* i love you…

high school

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

high school is where i want to be. well, not all the time, though.
but high school really was fun. nothing much to worry about except for spm.
we could talk almost about anything. we talked about everything.
and the best part was checking out the good looking guys at school. hehe.
back in school, there were handsome and cute guys to look at.
but in college and university, it seems so hard to find one. weird.
some may think that college or university life is much more fun.
freedom, away from parents, no curfew, unlimited social life, driving, etc.
it is fun for me in a way where i get to dress casually to class.
unlike in matriculation college, i had to wear baju kurung and tudung everyday.
that was one kind of a hell for me. although it was only 1 year, it was like suicide.
i couldn’t stand the dress code and the stupid rules and the islamic people.
it was a bit too much, actually. the lecturers were always having islamic events.
an ustaz got sacked for being too islamic. haha. good riddance. that was the best.
the new college director was more towards education, rather than religion.
i even got through the 2nd semester without being with my so-called friends.
long story. basically, matriculation college was a damned place for me. hell.
there’s also the fact that i get to drive the car which made my life convenient.
but that’s the thing that all of my friends face. the problem when we drive.
people asking for rides. we don’t mind, if you can appreciate us. treat us nicely.
we offer rides because we’re not that cold hearted and we think of our friends.
but that’s what happens in the end, the friends, taking advantage of us driving.
getting frequent rides. asking us to pick them up. send them back home.
at the end of the day, we end up being their unpaid drivers. ugh. it’s so stupid.
oh, how unfair life is. no, i think life is pretty fair. but please, people are so cruel.
one thing that we, driving people hate is, to be treated like a driver.
i don’t have much of a problem with driving when it comes to my friends here.
my high school friends are my true and most best of friends in the world!!
they go through the same things i go through. well, sometimes. so they understand.
and they know how to treat people nicely. i always feel as if i’m such a bad friend.
i wish i can go back to high school and hang around my closest friends.
then we can check out the cute guys and not just look in the school magazines. haha.

dating day

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

i finally met yvonne yesterday. woohoo! had lunch at kfc. err…
yes, my darling yvonne was so craving for kfc that she suggested to eat there.
while me, i just went to kfc last saturday, but, whatever… it’s just lunch.
besides, i’m on my mission to increase my weight.
might as well i eat chickens, chickens, and lots of chickens!! hahaha.
had a long talk about ourselves. we just love talking about ourselves. haha.
no, that’s not the case. just keeping each other up-to-date about everything.
went back to yvonne’s place and continued our long never ending chat.
talked about class, friends, guys, family, problems, happiness, and high school!
i’m planning to meet her more often this semester holiday.
maybe we can just hang out at her place if she’s around.
i can’t afford to go broke during this 7 weeks. i have too many plans.
she lent me a bunch of her dvds. now, something i can do during this holiday.
i’ll watch dvd all day, all night long until i have panda eyes. wahahaha.
at night, i had a date with din and hanif to the movies. we watched 30 days of night.
that movie was such a horror!! so gruesome. violent. uh, scary. and horror.
i usually watch horror movies with sam, so i have someone to hug when i’m scared.
i had no one to hug to, i just had to hug my handbag and cover my face with it.
this chinese guy sitting on my right was kind of staring at me in a weird way.
who cares!? this is a free country. if i have no pillow, i’m free to hug my handbag.
hanif, who was sitting between me and din was obviously having a great time.
he was laughing at me and din most of the time. he found us amusing. haha.
the movie was too scary i almost cried. my eyes were already watery.
hanif was making fun of me during the movie, and even after the movies.
din, he scared me with vampire, or rather ‘pontianak’ stories on our way back.
now that’s what i call and evil friend. i was so scared and frightened to go back.
stopped by 7-eleven to check on my working friends. i’m jobless. pity me.
firdaus asked for a ride home. at least, someone to be with me in the car for a while.
then i drove back home happily with the radio turned on a bit louder than usual.
reached home with the lights still on. my parents were still downstairs.
at night, i was a bit afraid to turn off my room lights. keep imagining the vampires.
but i was damn sleepy so i just turned off the lights and went to sleep.
next time i plan to watch horror movies, i’ll always watch them with sam.

tired

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

i’m ultimately thankful that the semester is finally over.
unfortunately, i have another semester to go next year.
i’m so sick and tired of everything happening around me.
that includes classes, studies, assignments, projects, etc.
and i hate to driving to class and back. it’s so tiring.
although i love to drive, but after a while, it gets on my nerves.
and i just realized that, no, i have realized that a long time ago.
i spend like, half of my allowance on fuel expenses. that’s a lot!
so, that’s one of the reasons that i learn to hate driving the car.
anyway, another semester of driving to class and back home. damn.
